Reissue of nine movies composed by Georges Delerue who was one of France’s most successful soundtrack composers. Included are excerpts from the original soundtracks of film noir movies of the sixties, such as ‘Chair de Poule’, ‘La Mort de Belle’, ‘Des Pissenlits par la Racine’, ‘Pleins Feux sur Stanislas’ and ‘Le Crime ne Paie Pas’.

Reissue of two film scores composed by Georges Delerue – ‘Le Corniaud’ and ‘Le Cerveau’ – and one by Georges Auric – ‘La Grande Vadrouille’. The three films are directed by the illustrious French director Gerard Oury who was responsible for many classic comedy films.

Reissue of eight film scores composed by Georges Delerue who was one of France’s most successful soundtrack composers. This compilation features music from film and TV, including Police Python 357 (1975), L’important (1974), Paul Gauguin (1975), Quelque Part, Quelqu’un (1972), Jamais Plus Toujours (1975), Malpertuis (1975), Les Aveux Les Plus Doux (1971) and Paul Et Virginie (1974). The fascinating sleeve notes give a deep insight into the composer’s life and times.

One of the great French film composers, Michel Magne scored his fair share of classic '60s films. This compilation celebrates the films of Georges Lautner juxtaposing Magne's scores for the action crime comedy Les Tontons Flingeurs (1963), action comedy thriller Les Barbouzes (1964), comedy spy thriller Le Monocle Rit Jaune (1964) and the crime drama Galia (1966) alongside Bernard Gerard's scores for the crime comedy Ne Nous Fachons Pas (1966) and the crime drama La Grande Sauterelle.

Music from four Robert Enrico movies composed by François de Roubaix, a lesser–known soundtrack composer, but one with a very distinctive style who has attracted a cult following. The films include Les Grandes Gueules (1965), Ho! (1968), Les Caïds (1972) and Le Vieux Fusil (1975).

The acclaimed soundtrack composer Philippe Sarde frequently collaborated with the French director Claude Sautet. This compilation features music from eleven feature films including Les Choses de la Vie (1969), Cesar et Rosalie (1972), Vincent, Francois, Paul et les Autres (1974), Un Coeur en Hiver (1992), and Nelly et Monsieur Arnaud (1995).

The atmospheric jazzy soundtrack by Eric Demarsan plays an important role in Jean-Pierre Melville's hugely influential film that remains a cornerstone of the crime genre. Starring Alain Delon, Gian Maria Volonte and Yves Montand, Melville’s film is the epitome of cool, with muted moody cinematography and stellar set design. A bona fide crime classic.

ERIC DEMARSAN          L'Armee Des Ombres(dir Jean-Pierre Melville)          CD 1598972
Reissue of the score by the renowned French soundtrack composer Eric Demarsan for the 1969 film directed by Jean-Pierre Melville. The film is a fictionalised account of the French Resistance during World War II and Demarsan’s score is an eerie mix of jazz themes and darker passages.

Reissue of Charles Dumont’s score for last feature film of Jacques Tati (1971) to feature Tati's famous character of Monsieur Hulot. It followed the vein of earlier Tati films that lampooned modern society and the score perfectly matches Tati’s comic approach ..

STEPHANE GRAPPELLI / GEORGES DELERUE  Les Valseuses/Calmos (dir. Bertrand Blier)  CD 0134722
Reissue of the scores for two classic films by the French director Bertrand Blier, both featuring jazz-influenced soundtracks. The score for “Les Valseuses” was composed by Stephane Grappelli and features Grappelli on violin, pianist Maurice Vander and guitarist Philippe Catherine. The score for “Calmos” was composed by the eminent French soundtrack composer Georges Delerue and it features bassist Slam Stewart, pianist Maurice Vander and drummer Daniel Humair.

This beautifully packaged compilation features music from films born of the co-operation between director Pierre Granier-Deferre and composer Philippe Sarde. The CD contains music from Le Train (1973), Le Chat (1971), Le Veuve Couderc (1971), Le Fils (1972), La Race Des Seigneurs (1974) and L'Etoile Du Nord(1982).

This compilation features three film scores composed by the eminent French soundtrack composer Francis. The three films are: the lavish costume drama ‘Mayerling’ directed by Terence Young; ‘La Lecon Particulaire’ directed by Michel Boisrond (the score features the sultry voice of Nicole Croisille on two tracks); and ‘Le Soleil Des Voyous, the 1967 crime-drama from director Jean Delannoy.
