BILLY TAYLOR / GERRY MULLIGAN Live At MCG CD MCGJ1025 This previously unreleased live recording from 1993 unites two legendary jazz musicians, the baritone saxophonist/composer Gerry Mulligan and pianist Dr. Billy Taylor. The two long time friends came together for the first time ever to perform a series of concerts at Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild. They performed a programme of classic jazz tunes including two originals, “Line for Lyons” by Mulligan and “Capricious” by Taylor.

The leaner, three-man configuration allows plenty of room for the fiery keyboard work that has become Camilo’s trademark.

Recorded live at the Blue Note, New York in 1988 it’s surprising that such great, swinging performances have been left in the vaults for all these years.
