Williams’ Serenade to Music features a vocal quartet (Jessica Rivera, Kelley O’Connor, Thomas Studebaker and Nmon Ford) with chorus and orchestra. Balancing out the programme is Williams’ orchestral work, Symphony No. 5, a surprisingly sunny and optimistic piece, given its origins in wartime London.
