27 tracks by the popular American vocalist Ktty Kallen who topped the charts in the 1950s. Many of these tracks are appearing on CD for the very first time and this comprehensive collection recalls a star with a fresh, warm, sincere vocal style.

ALAN DALE Alan Dale Sings CD SEPIA1115 27 tracks by vocalist Alan Dale whose varied repertoire included ballads, rock’n’roll, mambo and cha-cha. Many of these tracks are on CD for the first time and are taken from his recordings for the Signature label with the orchestra of Ray Bloch, his hits with Coral with tracks that recall his Italian heritage, together with rock and roll hits and other varied material.

This musical extravaganza was developed and produced by bandleader Guy Lombardo and premiered at the newly built 8,200-seat Jones Beach Marine Theatre, Long Island, in 1954. It starred Lauritz Melchior, Williasm Chapman and Helena Scott. Bonus tracks are excerpts from the show recorded by Guy Lombardo’s band, with vocals from Kenny Gardner and the Lombardo Trio.
