Vocalist and pianist Diane Schuur returns to her jazz roots – the music of her parents’ generation, which includes some of the earliest and most influential music in her creative development.

Schuur’s recording career began in the early 1980s and since then she has garnered
two GRAMMY® Awards and three additional GRAMMY® nominations, and has performed and collaborated with artists as diverse as B.B. King, Ray Charles,
Stan Getz, the Count Basie Orchestra and many more.

On ‘Some Other Time’ Schuur celebrates the music that her mother introduced her to (her mother died almosr exactly forty years ago when Diane was only 13). It includes a a varied selection of familiar jazz standards and she gives an expressive, straight ahead interpretation of these classics from the Great American Songbook with a quartet led by her MD (and occasional pianist)
